"WE REMOVED THE OBJECT BLOCKING OUR STUDENT'S THROAT BY PERFORMING THE HEIMLICH MANEUVER"
Describing the moments, teacher Veysel Akat said, "During yesterday's incident, I was the floor duty teacher. Suddenly, a student came and touched my arm. When I looked at their face, it was red, and I realized they couldn't breathe. Then I immediately performed the Heimlich maneuver. Afterwards, our child regained their health. We removed the object blocking their throat. I hope such incidents don't happen to us again, but we saw once again how important first aid is. One of the trainings provided by the Ministry of National Education is first aid. These trainings are repeated every 2-3 years anyway." The moments were reflected on the school's security cameras.
