In the Altınordu district of Ordu, a local market was inspected following a complaint made through CİMER, resulting in the confiscation of numerous products that were past their expiration date and stored under unhealthy conditions. It was reported that four truckloads of food products were collected during the inspections.
According to the information obtained, the inspection teams were mobilized after a report was made to CİMER regarding the sale of expired products at a market located in the Şirinevler neighborhood of the district. The teams conducted a comprehensive inspection at the mentioned establishment.
A LARGE NUMBER OF SPOILED PRODUCTS WERE FOUND
During the checks, it was determined that food products were stored in warehouse areas that did not meet hygiene and technical standards. Additionally, it was found that many products in the sales areas were past their expiration date, exceeded the recommended consumption date, and had compromised packaging integrity.
FOUR TRUCKLOADS OF PRODUCTS WERE CONFISCATED
As a result of the situation threatening public health, the teams prepared a report and informed the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to initiate the necessary legal proceedings. As a result of the work carried out with the teams participating in the inspection, four truckloads of food products that could pose a risk to human health were confiscated. It was learned that the collected products were kept under protection to be destroyed.
