The Privatization Administration has announced the details regarding the tender for the privatization of vehicle inspection stations. The tenders will be held on February 24, 2025, and the deadline for submitting bids has been set for February 10, 2025.

The Privatization Administration announced that there were three bids for the tenders of the vehicle inspection stations in Region 1 and Region 2, stating that the tenders for the privatization of vehicle inspection stations will be held on Monday, February 24.

In a statement from the ÖİB, it was reminded that the privatization processes for the construction, maintenance, and operation services of vehicle inspection stations were completed in 2007 and that the concession agreements for a duration of 20 years were signed on August 15, 2007.

THE DURATION OF EXISTING CONTRACTS IS EXPIRING

In the statement, it was pointed out that the duration of the existing contracts will expire on August 14, 2027, and it was expressed that an announcement was published for the privatization of the construction, maintenance, and operation services of vehicle inspection stations in the new period (2027-2047) in two regions (Region 1 and Region 2) to ensure that public service continues without interruption after the expiration of the contracts. The statement indicated that the deadline for submitting final bids in the tenders is February 10, 2025, and provided the following information about the bidders:

  • MOI Joint Venture Group (Met-Gün Construction Contracting and Trade AŞ – Itversia Gestion S.L. – Opus Group AB – VTV Norte SA).

Bidders for the construction, maintenance, and operation services of vehicle inspection stations in Region 2; Doğuş Tem Joint Venture Group (Doğuş Holding AŞ – Tem Kocaeli Vehicle Inspection Stations Operation and Trade AŞ), AGTT Joint Venture Group (Aktur Vehicle Inspection Stations Management AŞ – GGK Construction Real Estate Energy Tourism Construction Industry and Trade Ltd. Şti. – TÜV SÜD Aktiengesellschaft – Test Vehicle Inspection Stations Construction and Operation AŞ),

MOI Joint Venture Group (Met-Gün Construction Contracting and Trade AŞ – Itversia Gestion S.L. – Opus Group AB – VTV Norte SA) have been identified.

It was reported in the statement that the first round of negotiation meetings will be held with the bidders on the morning of February 24, Monday, and that the final negotiation meetings for Region 1 will be held at 14:30 and for Region 2 at 15:30 on the same day, conducted publicly through an auction.
