Following the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber to annul the congress and the official notification from the CHP Headquarters, a title change was made in the parliamentary records. On the official website of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Özgür Özel's title of 'CHP Chairman' was removed and replaced with '28th Term CHP Manisa Deputy' and 'Republican People's Party Group Chair'.
The leadership crisis triggered in CHP by a court decision has also been reflected in the parliament's digital system. Following the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber's decision to annul the party's 38th Ordinary Congress and 21st Extraordinary Congress with a "absolute nullity" ruling and temporarily suspend Özgür Özel from duty, the institutional change was also registered in the parliamentary album.
"CHAIRMAN" TITLE REMOVED FROM PARLIAMENT'S OFFICIAL PAGE
After the CHP Headquarters sent a letter to the Turkish Grand National Assembly Presidency stating that "Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is the legal Chairman of CHP" along with the court order, the Parliament's Information Processing Department made an update on the official website of the TBMM. The phrase "Chairman of the Republican People's Party" on Özgür Özel's profile page was completely removed.
NEW TITLE ADDED
Following the digital update, Özel's page was updated with his new position, for which he was elected during today's closed parliamentary group meeting. In parliamentary records, Özgür Özel is now officially designated with the titles "28th Term CHP Manisa Deputy" and "Republican People's Party Group Chair."
