In the Gazipaşa district of Antalya, a pickup truck lost control and rolled into a 60-meter deep ravine. The 70-year-old driver died at the scene of the accident.
In the Gazipaşa district of Antalya, a traffic accident occurred when a pickup truck rolled off a cliff approximately 60 meters high, resulting in the death of the driver, Mevlüt Gökmen (70).
According to information obtained from the Yarcakmuar plateau road in the Çığlık neighborhood of Gazipaşa, Antalya, the pickup truck driven by Mevlüt Gökmen lost control and veered off the road for an unknown reason, rolling down the cliff of about 60 meters.
THE PICKUP TRUCK ROLLED OFF THE CLIFF
Upon notification from local residents who witnessed the accident, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. After long efforts to reach the accident site, which was difficult to access due to the steep slope, the teams determined that driver Mevlüt Gökmen had died at the scene.
In the accident, where it was determined that Gökmen was alone, his body was retrieved with difficulty from the location after the examination by the on-duty public prosecutor and was taken to the morgue of Gazipaşa State Hospital. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
