CAN STRIKE ANYWHERE ON EARTH IN 30 MINUTESAs part of the exercise, the nuclear missile will travel 4,200 miles to Kwajalein Atoll, a small island in the North Pacific, which will take approximately 22 minutes. The weapon can travel over 15,000 miles per hour and can strike any target worldwide just 30 minutes after being launched. Moscow, the capital of Russia, is about 5,900 miles away from California, while Beijing is approximately 6,000 miles away; these two countries are seen as a threat to the U.S.
