The driver and passenger managed to throw themselves out of the SUV, which quickly turned to ashes, just in time to escape the flames. The accident took place on the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep Highway. The Jeep with license plate 01 VY 001, driven by Mustafa E., crashed into the SUV with license plate 06 CYY 572, controlled by Abdulkadir C. Then, Mustafa E. crashed his SUV into the truck with license plate 27 R 4014, driven by Latif S., who was moving in the left lane. As a result of the collision, the SUV suddenly caught fire.
IT TURNED INTO A FIREBALL IN AN INSTANT
Mustafa E. and passenger Hatice Ç. managed to throw themselves out at the last moment to escape the flames. When Latif S. saw the fire, he removed the truck from the trailer. The SUV, which turned into a fireball in a short time, became unusable. While the trailer of the truck also burned in the accident, the fire brigade teams called to the scene intervened and brought the flames under control.
Mustafa E. and Hatice Ç. were taken to Yüreğir State Hospital by medical teams. It was learned that both individuals received outpatient treatment at the hospital. The highway, which was closed to traffic for a while due to the accident, was reopened after the vehicles were removed.
