The verified listing application is starting in the automotive sector as well.

12.10.2024 15:20

In today's world, where online shopping is rapidly becoming widespread, the verified listing application will also be used in the automotive sector. Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan stated that those who want to sell their vehicles will create listings through e-Government.

The Deputy Minister of Trade, Mahmut Gürcan, stated that the verified advertisement application will be mandatory at the beginning of the year, saying, "Those who will post housing advertisements will select their property through e-Government without entering the e-advertisement site, and by entering the information numbers of the real estate agent they want to give authority to in the window that opens from there. We are starting this system in the same way for automobiles."

"TURKEY HAS BEEN GROWING CONTINUOUSLY FOR 16 YEARS"

Gürcan spoke at the Automotive and Energy Vision Meeting organized by MÜSİAD at the Selçuklu Congress Center. Reminding that there has been a serious global recession in the world due to the pandemic, Gürcan said, "Unfortunately, Turkey has also taken its share from this. However, despite everything, despite the stagnation in global trade, our economy continued to progress rapidly with steps aimed at production, job creation, and increasing exports. Looking at it this way, Turkey has been sustaining its uninterrupted growth for the last 16 quarters. In the past year of 2023, it achieved a growth of 5.1%." he said.

"THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR BROKE RECORDS"

Gürcan recalled that the automotive main industry, which has a locomotive role in exports, reached 19.4 billion dollars in 2023, saying, "Our total exports, including the sub-industry, have exceeded 35 billion dollars. The automotive sector achieved an export of 26.9 billion dollars with a growth of 5.3% in the January-September period of 2024. This is a historic record." he said.

APPLICATION BECOMES MANDATORY IN JANUARY

Emphasizing that they have imposed an obligation for identity and authority verification on advertisement platforms, Gürcan noted: "In other words, we ensured that the advertisements entered on the advertisement site are posted by individuals whose Turkish ID numbers are verified, and also by companies that have an authority certificate. The housing regulation came into effect recently. It will be fully implemented at the beginning of the year. It is currently continuing in a hybrid manner. Those who will post housing advertisements will select their property through e-Government without entering the e-advertisement site, and by entering the information numbers of the real estate agent they want to give authority to in the window that opens from there. We are starting this system in the same way for automobiles. We have a project related to posting the advertisement of the vehicle you own by entering through e-Government. That is also nearing completion and will come into effect in the coming months."

Gürcan added that efforts to create a fair, competitive, and stable market structure in the automotive sector will continue.
