The water level in the dams in Istanbul has increased with the recent rainfall and currently stands at 35.8 percent. However, this rate continues to lag behind the data from the last 10 years.

The water level in Istanbul's dams is rising. According to İSKİ data, as of today, the dam water level is measured at 35.8 percent. However, this level is still below the measurements of the last 10 years. In February 2024, the water level was measured at 72.98 percent, while in 2019 it was 90.14 percent.

Following the recent rainfall in Istanbul, the water levels in the dams have increased. According to measurements made by İSKİ as of today, the water level is measured at 35.8 percent. After the soil became saturated with rain, the inflows feeding the dam lakes increased, raising the water level from 27.34 percent to 35.08 percent within 15 days.

WATER LEVEL IN ÖMERLİ DAM RISES TO 51%

Last November, the water level in Ömerli dam dropped to 15.13 percent, but it has now risen to 51.01 percent. In the last 15 days, the water level in the Ömerli dam basin increased from 35.72 percent to 51.01 percent.

ELMALI DAM LAKE BASIN AT 94%

The dam with the highest water level in Istanbul is the Elmalı dam lake basin, with a level of 94.21 percent. In the Kazandere dam, located in the north of Istanbul and which had almost dried up recently, the water level is at 12.04 percent, while the Papuçdere dam reached 11.62 percent.
