On February 25th at around 05:30, terror struck in the Katip Kasım neighborhood of the Fatih district in Istanbul. Attackers arrived by car in front of a tobacco shop, opened fire on the business, and then quickly fled the scene.
6 SUSPECTS, 5 OF WHOM ARE CHILDREN, CAUGHT RED-HANDED
In the investigation initiated by the Robbery Bureau, police watched hundreds of hours of security camera footage. The suspects, whose identities were identified, were tracked to the house where they were hiding using the security camera images. During a raid on the house, police teams detained 6 suspects, 5 of whom were minors. Along with the suspects, 3 unlicensed firearms were also seized.
THEY RECORDED THE ATTACK
During a search of the suspects' house, police found interesting details related to the attack on a mobile phone. The phone contained footage of the attack recorded by the suspects. In the images taken from the car, one suspect is seen opening the car window and firing at the business, after which the suspects flee the scene.

In the examination of the phone, police also detected conversations among the suspects regarding the attack via WhatsApp. In a message sent to the suspects, it was determined that a photo marking the business to be shot was accompanied by the text, "It is enough to shoot 3-4 times at the shop on the left." The suspects responded to this message by saying, "Everything is ready on our end, you can give 3,000 euros in cash, and after sending the video, you can send the rest."
THEY WERE ARRESTED
One of the suspects, M.G., was referred to the courthouse from the Public Order Branch, while the 5 minor suspects were referred from the Child Branch. The suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
