Due to the Israel-Iran war, oil prices, which had sharply risen over the past 10 days, began to decline significantly from last night. With the announcement of a ceasefire, prices returned to the pre-war levels of 67-68. It is stated that the rapid pullback in oil prices will be reflected as a discount on fuel.

With the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, the sharply rising oil prices have retreated.

Brent crude oil, which saw levels below 60 dollars last month and was at 69 dollars on June 12, rose to 79 dollars following the outbreak of war on the morning of June 13. However, after a limited attack by Iran on the US base in Qatar yesterday, the price began to decline. Last night, with expectations of easing tensions, oil prices sharply fell from 78 dollars towards 70 dollars, and this morning, following US President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, it dropped to as low as 67 dollars.

DISCOUNT ON FUEL EXPECTED

If the decline in oil prices proves to be permanent, it is expected to reflect on fuel prices in the coming days.

PRICE INCREASES HAVE OCCURRED

There have been consecutive price increases for diesel and gasoline in the last two weeks. The price of diesel per liter, which was approximately 46.27 TL in Istanbul before the war, rose to 54.71 TL due to consecutive increases over 10 days. The increase over the 10-day period exceeded 18%. Last night, there was a reduction of 1 lira and 66 kuruş in the price of diesel.

The price of gasoline, on the other hand, increased by approximately 10% over 10 days, rising from 46.96 TL to 51.49 TL. If the decline in oil prices continues to be permanent from last night, discounts on fuel are expected in the coming days.
