In Bursa, M.R.J. from Tunisia filed a paternity lawsuit, claiming that she became pregnant by L.K., with whom she worked, while taking care of her sick mother. M.R.J., who is 7.5 months pregnant, stated that L.K. had promised to live with her but later went back on his word. L.K., on the other hand, denied the paternity claim, arguing that the child is not his.
In Bursa, M.R.J. (43), a Tunisian who divorced his Turkish wife, filed a paternity lawsuit claiming that he became pregnant from L.K. (55), with whom he agreed to take care of his sick and elderly mother. M.R.J., who is 7.5 months pregnant, stated that L.K. had told him he would divorce his wife and live with him, but did not keep his word; L.K. said, "I am not the father of the baby in your belly."
In Gemlik district of Bursa, it is claimed that a person named L.K. agreed with Tunisian M.R.J. to take care of his sick and elderly mother. After a while, M.R.J. claimed she became pregnant from L.K., and after L.K. moved to Düzce, refusing to accept the child in her belly, she went to Gemlik Courthouse and filed a paternity lawsuit.
"I BECAME PREGNANT FROM OUR RELATIONSHIP"
M.R.J., who says she is 7.5 months pregnant, stated, "After divorcing my Turkish husband who went to prison, I had to take care of my 3 children. I met L.K. through a mutual friend to take care of his sick and elderly mother. He told me he would divorce his second wife and live with me. I believed him. I became pregnant from our relationship. When I told him we would have a child, he did not believe it. When we went to the hospital together, he learned the truth. Then he refused to accept being the father of the baby. After that, he moved to Düzce with his family. I went to the city where he lived to meet him. When he came with his wife and said, 'Make an agreement with my wife, not with me,' I fainted. So, I came to Gemlik last March and filed a paternity lawsuit," she said.
"BUT YOU WERE PROTECTING YOURSELF, YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO HAVE A CHILD"
L.K., who moved to Düzce, stated in a statement to DHA reporter who called him, "My mother is an elderly and sick woman. While she was hospitalized, M.R.J. came to me on the recommendation of a friend to take care of her. He said his ex-wife was in prison and that he had to take care of his 3 children. Then he approached me. He said he wouldn't have a child because he was protecting himself. When he came to me 15 days later and said he was pregnant, I couldn't believe it. When I asked, 'But you were protecting yourself, you weren't supposed to have a child?' he didn't respond. I helped him by giving him money on various dates. His ex-wife, who was released from prison, also called me and threatened me. I paid 150,000 lira to help them. In my research, I learned that the woman had relationships with many people, including my friend who introduced her to me. I do not accept the accusation. He has filed a paternity lawsuit against me. I gave a statement to the police in this way," he said.
