Footage of Graven being subjected to violence in previous broadcasts had come to light. According to Le Parisien, moments when he was beaten, choked, and shot with a paintball gun by different broadcasters were shared on social media.

France's Minister for Digital Transition, Clara Chappaz, described the events as "a complete horror." Chappaz emphasized the obligation of online platforms to prevent the spread of illegal content, stating, "There is no place for such a failure anywhere."
