A new development has occurred in the case of the 17-year-old Afghan woman who was found dead under a blanket on a sofa in her home in the Yunusemre district of Manisa. Following reports from neighbors that the woman had argued with her husband, her Afghan husband was apprehended by police teams at a house where he was hiding in Izmir.

HUSBAND OF THE MURDERED AFGHAN WOMAN IN CUSTODY
The investigation into the death of H.A. (17), a national of Afghanistan, who was found dead in her home in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood on July 19, is ongoing. Police teams, having received information from neighbors that the young woman had argued with her Afghan husband N.D. (27) the night before the incident, determined that the suspect was in the Konak district of İzmir.
The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch captured the suspect in a raid on the house where he was hiding. The suspect's processing at the police station is ongoing.
FOUND DEAD ON THE SOFA
Relatives of H.A., a national of Afghanistan residing in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood, went to the woman's home on July 19 after not hearing from her, and found her covered and motionless on the sofa.
Police teams had initiated efforts to capture the suspect after receiving information that the young woman had argued with her husband N.D. last night.
