8 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Among the suspects who were detained as part of the investigation and brought to the courthouse after the procedures at the gendarmerie yesterday, Yüksel (44), the mother of Narin Güran, her brother Enes (18), her uncle Fuat Güran (41), her cousins Muhammet Kaya (23) and Birsen Güran (19), her aunt Maşallah Güran (46), her aunt's husband Mehmet Şevket Kaya, and Mehmet Selim Atasoy (40), who is known to be the worker of her imprisoned uncle Salim Güran, were arrested.

While the investigation into the murder that shook Turkey continues, the interview given by Narin's mother Didem Arslan Yılmaz on the 'Vazgeçme' program broadcasted on Show TV four days after Narin went missing became a topic of discussion. In the interview aired today, the mother implies that her daughter was murdered and says, "Right now, Narin doesn't have a grave. If you have a heart, if you are a man, throw my daughter in a corner."

Commenting on the mother's statements, Didem Arslan Yılmaz says, "Weren't your daughter kidnapped? Wasn't your daughter alive? You are causing a commotion in the whole village by saying 'she was kidnapped'. Then why are you talking about a grave? If you pay attention during the interview, you will see that not a single tear falls from her eyes. She clearly admits that her daughter was murdered. If our esteemed prosecutors are watching, they should ask the mother about these statements. They need to ask her, 'What did you mean by that?'"
