Due to the tension in oil prices, there will be a 93 kuruş reduction in the price of diesel per liter at midnight. With the discount reflected at the pump, the price of diesel will decrease to 53 lira 45 kuruş in Istanbul, 54 lira 65 kuruş in Ankara, and 53 lira 40 kuruş in Izmir.
The decline in global oil prices, along with expectations of increased supply, is reflected at fuel pumps as signals that demand for oil will decrease.
As of tonight, a reduction of 93 kuruş is expected in the price of diesel per liter, and with the price drop reflected at the pump, the price of diesel will decrease to 53 lira 45 kuruş in Istanbul, 54 lira 65 kuruş in Ankara, and 53 lira 40 kuruş in Izmir.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.
EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES
After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that explains price changes, the union announced that it would not share fuel price changes with citizens until the legal process is concluded.
