Two bags hanging from a tree in front of a three-story apartment building on İnönü Street caught the attention of the locals. A resident of the building, who was leaving home for an evening walk to the beach, noticed that there were two dead kittens in the bag hanging from the grapevine. According to reports, many more dead cats were found on different streets in Silivri last night. Some local residents, who said they were providing water and food for the cats, reacted to the situation.

"8-9 KITTENS DIED HERE IN THE LAST 2 DAYS"

Emine Kaptan, an employee at a business in the area where the dead cats were found, said, "The death of the kittens is either due to the cold or poisoning, but I think if it were poisoning, larger cats would also die. In the last 2 days, 8-9 kittens have died here. I also provide ready-made food for the cats," she said.

Serhat Yönet stated, "I live here, and we feed the cats. We provide food and water. But for some reason, 22 kittens have died in the last 22 hours, and we don't know why. If we say it's from hunger, we don't think so. Everyone here gives food and water. We don't know the reason. I would say poisoning, but I'm not sure about that either. I want this incident to be investigated," he said.
