Ismet Aladag, living in Malatya, refused to sell his collection of approximately 10,000 cologne pieces accumulated over 35 years, despite receiving an offer worth an apartment. Aladag wants the collection preserved under his name and passed down to future generations.

İsmet Aladağ, who has been a tradesman in Malatya and collecting cologne from different provinces of Turkey since 1990, has created a huge collection consisting of hundreds of varieties and rare bottles over the years.

HE TURNED DOWN A 10 MILLION TL OFFER

Aladağ, who has dedicated two rooms in his workplace entirely to his collection, stated that the works he has gathered are collected not for monetary value but for personal passion. Noting that he occasionally receives high offers for his collection, Aladağ said the most striking offer was a purchase attempt worth 10 million TL, but he rejected this offer as well.

HE WANTS THE 10,000-PIECE COLLECTION TO BE PRESERVED

Aladağ, who wants the 10,000-piece collection to be recorded, preserved, and passed on to future generations, said, "I don't plan to sell it. This is a part of my life. If possible, I want it to be preserved under the roof of a museum or university under the name 'İsmet Aladağ Cologne Collection'."
