In Esenyurt, suspects who introduced themselves as police stopped a truck on the road, blindfolded the driver and the assistant, and incapacitated them. The suspects stole the truck, taking away fabric rolls worth 1.7 million lira. Five suspects, whose identities were identified, were apprehended.

The Selahattin Eyyubi Neighborhood in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul experienced a robbery on February 18 at around 08:30. According to the information obtained, employees of a textile company, N.Y. and N.M., set out with rolls of fabric worth 1.7 million lira loaded onto a truck.

THEY BLINDFOLDED AND ROBBED HIM

Four suspects, who identified themselves as police, blocked the path of the moving truck. Three suspects blindfolded the truck driver N.Y. and took him away in their vehicle. One suspect also blindfolded the assistant named N.M. and incapacitated him inside the truck. The suspects drove the truck to Avcılar after robbing it, unloading the stolen fabric from the vehicle and loading it onto other vehicles. The suspects then fled the scene.

THEY STARTED FOLLOWING AS SOON AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY

Following the incident, the Robbery Bureau teams initiated efforts to capture the suspects and locate the rolls of fabric. In the investigations, it was found that the suspects had been following the truck from the moment it left the textile factory in a white vehicle.

THEY WERE CAUGHT RED-HANDED

After technical and physical surveillance, the identities of the suspects were determined. Following the investigations, police teams launched an operation on March 11. In the operation, five suspects were captured and taken into custody, and 279 rolls of fabric weighing 4,971 kilograms were also seized. The suspects were referred to judicial authorities after their procedures at the police station.
