A group of Syrians in Gaziantep kidnapped a tradesman named Ercan Öztürk and tortured him while recording the moments. After the incident, Öztürk, who filed a complaint, stated, "They beat me and recorded the torture they inflicted on me at the same time."

Ercan Öztürk (40), who works as an electrician in Gaziantep, was threatened three times in two months by Mehmet and Fahri D., with whom he has a feud. Öztürk reported these individuals to the police, stating that he was threatened both with a weapon and verbally.

THEY TORTURED ME AND RECORDED THOSE MOMENTS

Öztürk expressed that after a while, the individuals he complained about sent a group of Syrians after him, saying, "I am a tradesman doing electrical work on my own. The people I complained about sent a group of Syrians after me. They called me saying there was an electrical malfunction and kidnapped me. When I got out, the one standing behind me hit me on the head and started cursing. They began to beat me. At the same time, they recorded the torture they inflicted on me."

THEY PANICKED AND FLED

Öztürk explained that when he saw a vehicle arriving at the place where he was being held, those who kidnapped him panicked and fled. "I went to the hospital and obtained a report of the assault. The five Syrians who kidnapped me later contacted me. They said, 'We will cross over (to Syria) in a few days. Use the video after we leave.' After they left, I reported the incident to the relevant authorities," he said.
