In the Yüreğir district of Adana, 2,500 kilograms of freshly slaughtered horse meat were seized under a house. A raid was conducted while four horses were about to be slaughtered, and three suspects were taken into custody.

The capital of kebab, Adana, continues to face scandals related to horse and donkey meat. Once again, in the central Yüreğir district, teams from the Adana Police Department's Intelligence Branch determined that horse slaughter was taking place beneath the residence of Adem T. (48) and his son Yusuf Can T.

Police conducted a surprise raid at the address to capture the suspects, who are alleged to have been selling the meat. During the search, approximately 2,500 kilograms of horse meat, which had been slaughtered and separated from their heads, was seized.

3 PEOPLE DETAINED

Yusuf Can T., who claimed to be the owner of the meat, along with Anıl Ahmet A. (20), who was determined to have participated in the slaughter, and his brother Ramazan A. (17) were detained. It was reported that efforts are ongoing to capture Vedat K. (19) and Adem T. (17), who are considered to be connected to the incident. It was learned that the homeowner, father Adem T., was not present at the address at the time of the incident.

4 HORSES, 2 OF THEM FOALS, SEIZED

In the garden of the residence, 4 horses, 2 of which were foals, were found. The horses were taken by teams from the relevant institutions to be delivered to an animal shelter. After samples were taken by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, the meat was handed over to the authorities for destruction. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
