Upon the report that 800 sheep and goats were looted by armed individuals in Tusba district of Van, gendarmerie teams launched a drone-supported operation. While the animals found in the field were returned to their owner, 4 suspects, who allegedly threatened the shepherds with weapons and seized the herd, were taken into custody. Numerous weapons and ammunition were also seized during the operation.
In Van, 4 suspects were caught in a UAV-supported operation by the gendarmerie regarding the plundering of 800 small livestock animals.
DETECTED IN OPEN TERRAIN
Upon receiving a report that 800 small livestock animals were plundered in the Tuşba district, the Van Provincial Gendarmerie Command took action.
As a result of search efforts supported by the Gendarmerie Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (GUAV), 800 small livestock animals were located in the field and returned to their owner.
AMMUNITION FOUND ON THEM
In coordination with the Van Provincial Police Department, teams from the Van Provincial Gendarmerie Command detained 4 suspects who threatened shepherds with weapons and plundered the animals. Numerous weapons and cartridges were seized during the operation.
