In Eskişehir, a 63-year-old man with COPD living alone was found dead in his apartment after heavy odors emanating from his home spread throughout the street. TEAMS ENTERING THE HOME ENCOUNTERED HIS LIFELESS BODY

The incident occurred in an apartment on the first floor of a 3-story building located on Dinçtürk Street, Büyükdere District. According to information obtained, neighbors who had not heard from 63-year-old Yaşar A., a COPD patient living alone, for about 15 days reported the bad odor spreading from the apartment to the street to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, police and health teams were dispatched to the scene. After necessary security measures were taken, the teams entered and encountered Yaşar A.'s lifeless body.

Due to the heavy odor from the apartment covering the entire street, it was observed that neighbors at the scene and citizens passing by had to wear masks to avoid being affected by the smell.

CAUSE OF DEATH TO BE DETERMINED BY AUTOPSY

The body of Yaşar A., who was learned to be single, was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, following prosecutor and police investigations at the scene. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
