The OSM '75 Maarssen team, one of the 8th League (4e Klasse) teams in the Netherlands, pulled off a big surprise on Saturday. Wesley Sneijder, who retired from professional football in 2019, stepped back onto the green fields at the age of 41. Starting on the bench in the Focus '07 match played at Sportpark Fazantenkamp in Maarssenbroek, Sneijder was included in the game in the second half and played for about 20 minutes. The match ended 1-0 in favor of OSM '75, and the stands were filled with the arrival of Sneijder.
