While the echoes of U.S. President Donald Trump's statement "The war is largely over" continue, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made a striking remark. Pezeshkian stated, "Iran is the heir to a civilization that is at least 6000 years old. Those who dream of destroying Iran have learned nothing from history. Aggressors have come and gone; Iran has remained standing."

PEZESHKIAN: IRAN HAS ALWAYS REMAINED STANDING

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made a statement through his social media account. Pezeshkian said, "Iran is the heir of a civilization that is at least 6000 years old. Passing through the difficult tests of history, no power has succeeded in erasing this historical name. Those who harbor the dream of destroying Iran have learned nothing from history. Aggressors have come and gone; Iran has remained standing."

TRUMP SAID "THE WAR IS LARGELY OVER"

In a statement made a day earlier, Trump had said that the conflicts in the Middle East had largely come to an end. However, his new threat towards Iran indicated that tensions in the region had not completely subsided and that military risks between the parties continued.

A potential tension that could arise between the US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz is seen as developments that could directly affect not only regional security but also global energy markets.

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28.

Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.

According to Iranian officials, 1332 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
