Those who want to obtain an SRC certificate can expect a significant increase in 2025.

It is expected that in 2025, there will be an increase of at least 50% in the course fees for the SRC Certificate that drivers of commercial taxis, student shuttles, buses, minibuses, trucks, and personnel transportation must obtain, as well as a 45% increase in fines.

As of 2025, serious penalties are being introduced for drivers without an SRC Certificate. The fines imposed on both drivers and vehicle-owning companies will significantly increase.

Drivers using commercial vehicles without an SRC Certificate and companies delivering vehicles to drivers without an SRC Certificate are subject to separate fines. Accordingly, for the year 2024, the penalty for driving without an SRC Certificate is set at 2,250 TL for drivers and 5,679 TL for businesses, totaling 7,929 TL. According to tax experts, a 45% increase is expected in 2025.

SRC CERTIFICATE IS MANDATORY

Nihat Gültekin, the President of the All-Der Istanbul SRC Courses Association, warned drivers, "Do not be late, obtain your SRC Certificate by December 31. As of January 1, 2025, course fees will increase by approximately over 60%. Additionally, a 45% increase in fines imposed on drivers and company owners is expected," he said.

Obtaining an SRC Certificate to use commercial vehicles is mandatory according to the Road Transport Regulation No. 4925. These certificates indicate that drivers have received the necessary training to operate vehicles more safely in traffic.
