The father, S.C., who was taken into custody in connection with the incident, stated that his son rented the warehouse and that the medications belonged to him. However, O.C. denied his father's claims.
145,520 boxes of medicine were seized in an unlicensed warehouse in the Seyhan district of Adana, and a father and son were taken into custody.
THOUSANDS OF BOXES OF MEDICINE SEIZED
Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Smuggling and Organized Crime Unit acted upon receiving a tip-off that a large number of medicines were found in an unlicensed warehouse in İstiklal Neighborhood. During the operation carried out at the warehouse, the teams, with the support of officials from the Provincial Health Directorate, seized 145,520 boxes of prescription medication.
FATHER ACCUSED SON
It was also determined that most of the medicines in the poorly conditioned warehouse did not have barcodes. The father S.C. (68) and his son O.C. (37), who is alleged to have rented the warehouse, were taken into custody on charges of "trading in spoiled or altered food or medicines." In his statement, S.C. claimed that his son rented the warehouse and that the medicines belonged to him, while O.C. claimed that the medicines did not belong to him.
The suspects' procedures at the police station are ongoing.
