WHAT HAPPENED?
In Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, on March 1, 2024, Timur Cihantimur, the 17-year-old son of writer Eylem Tok, crashed into three ATV-type vehicles parked on the side of the road due to a breakdown while driving without a license.
As a result of the accident, Oğuz Murat Aci, 29, lost his life, while the other people present were injured, and after the incident, Eylem Tok went to the scene before the police and kidnapped her son Timur Cihantimur. Eylem Tok and her son left for Egypt from the airport at around 03:50 the next day and then fled to the USA. A red notice was issued for Timur Cihantimur and his mother, writer Eylem Tok, on May 23, and they were caught and arrested in the USA on June 14.
