Top Belgian Diplomat Faces Corruption Probe

Preliminary investigation carried out into Didier Reynders' alleged corruption and money laundering in DRC.

Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders is being probed for alleged financial corruption, local media reported Saturday.
Preliminary investigation was carried out into claims made by a former member of the country's intelligence services about alleged corruption and money laundering in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In a related development, European Commission President-elect Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday announced Reynders as new commissioner for justice. -
