Trabzonspor has signed Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, bringing him to Turkey. The burgundy-blues have reached a 4.5-year agreement with Nwaiwu. The Black Sea team will pay a transfer fee of 5.5 million euros for this transfer.
Trabzonspor, aiming for the championship in the Super League, has reached a 4.5-year agreement with Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu.
AGREEMENT REACHED
In a statement sent to Borsa Istanbul from Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği Ticaret AŞ, which is also available on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated that an agreement has been reached with Wolfsberger AC Club regarding the definitive transfer of Chibuike Godfrey Nwaiwu to the burgundy-blue club.
COST OF THE TRANSFER REVEALED
According to the agreement, it was stated that a total of 5.5 million euros will be paid to Wolfsberger Club in 7 installments as a contract termination fee, and it was noted: "A 4.5-year agreement has been reached with professional football player Chibuike Godfrey Nwaiwu. According to the agreement, the player will receive a guaranteed salary of 350,000 euros for the second half of the 2025-2026 football season, and 700,000 euros for each season in the other seasons. A payment of 5% of the gross salary amount to be paid to the player will be made as a management service fee." Additionally, it was reported that the 22-year-old footballer underwent a health check in Istanbul.
