In Rize, a car driver who made a faulty overtake in traffic stopped at the last moment just before running over a cyclist. The attackers, who got out of the car saying 'pull over' to the cyclist who reacted to them, suddenly attacked the cyclist with kicks and punches. While the attackers were barely stopped by local shopkeepers, the incident was captured on a helmet camera. Meanwhile, one person tried to cover the camera with his hand to prevent recording.

HE ALMOST TOOK A LIFE WHILE MAKING A WRONG TURN
The incident occurred yesterday at around 5:00 PM on Menderes Boulevard, Gündoğdu District. A dispute broke out between a cyclist and the driver of a car with license plate 53 AAL 697, D.A., who was trying to make an illegal turn.
THEY ATTACKED AS SOON AS THEY GOT OUT OF THE CAR
Driver D.A., who refused to admit his fault, demanded that the cyclist move aside without even giving him a chance to speak. D.A., along with the attacker A.A., who was a passenger in the car, got out of the vehicle and suddenly attacked the cyclist, beating him with kicks and punches.
BYSTANDERS SAVED HIS LIFE
While people in the area intervened and saved the cyclist's life, the moments when bystanders struggled to restrain the attacker A.A. were captured second by second on the cyclist's helmet camera.
THE INCIDENT WAS ON CAMERA
The footage shows the cyclist telling the oncoming driver, 'Uncle, what are you doing? This is a one-way street,' followed by the two people getting out of the car that pulled over to the right and attacking the cyclist with kicks and punches, as well as bystanders stepping in.
Additionally, a passerby was seen trying to cover the camera with his hand to prevent recording, while a shopkeeper reacted to this person.
LICENSE CONFISCATED, VEHICLE BANNED FROM TRAFFIC FOR 2 MONTHS
In the investigation launched by the Rize Provincial Police Department Traffic Branch regarding the incident, driver D.A.'s license was confiscated for 2 months, and his vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days. Additionally, D.A. and his companion A.A. were each fined 180,000 Turkish liras.
