In the Tortum district of Erzurum, 24-year-old Kasım Tan, who was trying to do pull-ups on a bridge while having a picnic, lost his balance, fell into a stream, and drowned. His lifeless body was reached by fire department teams.

LOST BALANCE ON THE BRIDGE
The incident occurred around 12:15 PM in the Kaledibi area of Esendurak neighborhood, connected to the Tortum district. According to the information obtained, Kasım Tan, who had gone to the area to have a picnic with his friends, tried to do pull-ups on a bridge over the stream.
At that moment, the young man's hand slipped, and he fell into the stream passing under the bridge. Swept away by the strong current, Tan disappeared from sight within a short time.
TEAMS MOBILIZED
Upon notification by those nearby, search and rescue teams from the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, gendarmerie, and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene.
Conducting an extensive search along the stream bed, the teams reached the lifeless body of Kasım Tan, who had been swept away by the current. The body, retrieved from the water, was handed over to the gendarmerie and health teams at the scene.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Kasım Tan's body was taken to the hospital morgue by 112 Emergency Health teams for autopsy procedures.
It was learned that a comprehensive investigation and inquiry have been initiated regarding the incident.
