U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that China has completely violated the trade agreement that temporarily reduced tariffs between the two countries. Expressing his dissatisfaction with the situation on behalf of China, Trump said, "Being 'Mr. Nice Guy' is over."

The tension continues to escalate in the trade war between the USA and China.

TRUMP ACCUSED CHINA OF VIOLATING THE TRADE AGREEMENT

US President Donald Trump claimed that China has completely violated the trade agreement made with them. In a statement on his social media account, Trump, who suggested two weeks ago that China was under great threat, stated, "The very high tariffs I imposed have made it nearly impossible for China to trade with the US market, which is by far the number one in the world." Trump expressed that suddenly doing this to China was devastating for them, that many factories had closed, and that there was "civil unrest."

Trump, who stated that he was not pleased with the situation on behalf of China, noted: "I made a quick deal with China to get them out of this situation, which I thought would be very bad and did not want to see happen. Thanks to this agreement, everything quickly stabilized, and China returned to business as usual. Everyone was happy. This is good news. The bad news is that China has completely violated the agreement it made with us, perhaps not surprisingly for some. 'Being Mr. Nice Guy' has come to an end."

A TEMPORARY AGREEMENT HAD BEEN REACHED

US President Donald Trump had raised customs duties on China to as high as 145% following the tariff standoff with this country. China had also increased its tariffs on the US to 125%.

After the trade negotiations held in Switzerland this month, the USA and China had agreed to temporarily reduce their customs duties. Under the agreement, it was announced that as of May 14, the US would reduce the customs duties it imposed on Chinese goods from 145% to 30% for 90 days, and China would reduce the customs duties it imposed on US goods from 125% to 10%.

Additionally, it was stated that a mechanism would be established to continue negotiations on trade and economic relations between Washington and Beijing.
