Striking details have emerged regarding the Palace of Versailles, which US President Donald Trump visited at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. It was learned that before going to the palace, Trump said, "They have a lot of gold, I want to take a look."
Following the G7 Leaders' Summit, Macron hosted Trump at the historic Palace of Versailles near Paris. A special program was prepared for Trump, who was welcomed by Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.
SPECIAL TOUR ARRANGED
Macron gave the US President a tour of the most famous sections of the Palace of Versailles. The program included visits to the Hall of Mirrors, the gallery dedicated to the American War of Independence, and the Royal Chapel. Trump also watched a special concert held in the chapel.

The Versailles visit was not limited to a diplomatic courtesy meeting. Trump also signed a 14-point memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war between the US and Iran at the palace.
