Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf commented on claims that the U.S. and Israel would conduct a ground operation against Iran, stating, "We are not supporters of war, but when it comes to defending the homeland, we all become soldiers. 7 million people are ready to defend their country." Additionally, Iran's Chief of General Staff Abdolrahim Hatami issued instructions to commanders to prepare for a possible ground operation.
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, made a statement regarding the declaration of military mobilization initiated across the country.
Emphasizing that 7 million people have applied for the mobilization declaration, Qalibaf said, “We are not supporters of war, but when it comes to defending our homeland, we all become soldiers.”
"MY OWN BROTHER HASAN NEVER RETURNED HOME"
Referring to the scars left by the war on his own family, Qalibaf recounted the death of his brother, saying, “My own brother Hasan, he also put everything on the line for the same struggle for the homeland. He could never return home again. To this day, I still carry the pain of not being able to embrace him once more. Such pain never leaves a man. And he was not the only one who left. I lost my brothers, who are family to me as much as my own brother, who fought like lions and became a part of me forever.”
"WE WOULD SACRIFICE EVERYTHING"
Stating that Iran is not a "war enthusiast" but that every individual would turn into a soldier under attack, Qalibaf expressed, “We would sacrifice everything - everything we have - for the lands we love. We have shed our youth, our blood, and every tomorrow we have for Iran. But when the time comes to defend the homeland, each of us turns into a soldier.”
"7 MILLION IRANIANS ON THE DEFENSE LINE"
Qalibaf shared striking figures about current military preparations and public participation, noting that their defenses have reached massive proportions. The Speaker stated, “Right now, in less than a week, a powerful national campaign spreading across the country has brought together approximately 7 million Iranians who declare their readiness to arm themselves and take part in the defense of our nation.”
"IF YOU LAY EYES ON OUR HOME, YOU WILL ENCOUNTER THE WHOLE FAMILY"
Emphasizing the proactive character of Iranians regarding defense, Qalibaf directly addressed their enemies with the following warning:
“Let me tell you in the most sincere and straightforward way: Iranians do not just talk about defending their country; they shed blood for it. We have done this before and are ready to do it again. If you lay eyes on our home... you will encounter the whole family. Armed and heads held high. Do not hold back.”
ORDER FOR GROUND OPERATION FROM THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF IRAN
On the other hand, the Chief of Staff of Iran, Abdolrahim Hatami, directly ordered commanders to “be ready for a ground attack” during a video conference with operational centers.
Hatami, displaying a firm stance against a possible ground operation, stated, “If the enemy initiates a ground operation, none of them should survive.” He requested the commanders to monitor enemy movements “with the highest suspicion and sensitivity.”
