US President Donald Trump made a new statement regarding Iran. Trump said he planned to attack Iran today but postponed it with one hour to go, adding, "We may need to strike Iran once more, but I haven't made up my mind yet. We may need to deliver a major blow, you'll see soon."
US President Donald Trump announced that he postponed the planned military strike on Iran at the last minute, with just one hour to go. Stating that he wanted to give a chance for diplomatic negotiations following requests from leaders of regional countries, Trump declared that the operation was suspended for a few days. However, Trump emphasized that the military is ready to act immediately if Iran does not accept the condition of not producing nuclear weapons.
TRUMP: WE MAY NEED TO HIT IRAN ONE MORE TIME
Trump said: "We may need to hit Iran one more time, but I haven't made my decision yet. We may need to deliver a big blow, you'll see soon."
Meanwhile, Trump stated in his remarks the previous day that the leaders of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia had requested him to stop the attack.
"WE WERE PLANNING TO LAUNCH AN ATTACK ON IRAN TOMORROW"
Trump said in his statement: "We were planning to launch an attack on Iran tomorrow. The Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the United Arab Emirates requested the postponement of the planned military strike against Iran.
We will not carry out the planned attack on Iran tomorrow. I have instructed the military to be ready for an immediate, full-scale, and massive strike against Iran if an acceptable agreement is not reached."
