The Presidential Communications Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) denied claims that "Greece has been obstructing Türkiye's procurement processes for various missiles and defense ammunition through diplomatic initiatives and covert moves." In a statement, it said, "Such news that occasionally appear in the press or third-party sources are speculative disinformation activities aimed at manipulating public opinion and creating a baseless perception."

A statement was made by the DMM's NSocial account regarding posts in some press outlets and social media platforms that "Greece has hindered Turkey's various missile and defense ammunition procurement processes through diplomatic initiatives and covert moves."

"UNFOUNDED PERCEPTION MANIPULATION"

In a written statement by the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM), it was stated that the aforementioned claim does not reflect the truth, and such news are speculative disinformation activities aimed at manipulating the public and creating an unfounded perception.

"PROCEEDING SMOOTHLY AND UNINTERRUPTEDLY"

In the statement pointing out that these allegations are completely false, the following was noted:

"The Republic of Turkey meets a large portion of its critical ammunition, missile, and defense systems needs through its own domestic resources, thanks to the indigenous and national production vision adopted in the defense industry.

Procurement and cooperation processes conducted in international markets are also proceeding smoothly and uninterruptedly in line with inter-state legal agreements and strategic plans.

Such news, which periodically appear in the press or third-party sources, are speculative disinformation activities aimed at manipulating the public and creating an unfounded perception.

It is kindly requested that only statements made by the relevant official authorities be taken into account."
