The global economic crisis has led to the bankruptcy of numerous companies in Turkey, and a large group has joined the ranks. Maresen Plastik, Maresen Otomotiv, and Minda Yapı, which operate under the same group, have filed for concordat due to their financial difficulties. The court has granted a 3-month temporary stay for the three companies.
According to the court decision, the transfer of movable and immovable assets of companies to third parties has been prohibited. Debtors will not be able to establish a lien, act as guarantors, or make gratuitous transfers without the court's permission.
A 7-DAY GRACE PERIOD HAS BEEN GRANTED
Additionally, new enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings cannot be initiated starting from August 22. A bankruptcy commissioner has been appointed to serve during the temporary period. It has been reported that creditors can file objections within 7 days.
COMPANIES' ACTIVITIES
Maresen Plastik: Founded in 2002, the company started operating as the Marmara Region distributor of ESEN Plastik A.Ş. It provided services in both domestic and international markets in the plastic sector.
Maresen Otomotiv: The company, which started operations in 2019, took on the dealership of the Goodyear brand in Bursa. It provided services to consumers in many areas, from tire changes to service, battery sales, and tire storage. It also added the Duracell Battery Southern Marmara dealership to its portfolio.
Minda Yapı: Established in 2008, the firm provided a wide range of products for construction materials, agriculture, infrastructure, and superstructure projects. It stood out in the sector with its extensive sales network covering Bursa, Eskişehir, Kütahya, Sakarya, Düzce, Yalova, and İzmit.
