Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped 0.60% or 732.97 points, on Tuesday to start the day at 121,886.80 points.
At Monday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.94% at 122,619.77 points, hitting historical high, with a daily trading volume of 11.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.9300 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to Monday's closing rate of 5.9190.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was also up at 6.5800, versus 6.5620, and one British pound was traded for 7.7330 Turkish liras. It was 7.7080 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for around $64.50 as of 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday. -
