BIST 100 index rises over 170 points from previous close.
Turkey's benchmark stock index rose by 0.20% or 171.88 points to open at 86,943.35 points Tuesday.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased slightly by 0.03% to close at 86,771.47 points with a daily trading volume of 4.83 billion Turkish liras ($798 million).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 6.0350 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to Monday's closing rate of 6.0230.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased slightly to 6.7310, versus 6.7270 at the previous close.
One British pound traded for 7.6870 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY exchange rate was 7.6800 at market close on Monday.
The price of Brent oil was around $72.20 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time on Tuesday. -
