Turkish Stock Exchange Down At Open

BIST 100 index falls 31.2 points at opening session.

The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,868.11 points, down 0.29% or 31.18 points over the previous close.

At the midweek's close, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.04% to a historical high close of 10,899.28 points, with a daily transaction volume of 127.6 billion liras ($3.95 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.2085 as of 11.00 a.m. local time (0800GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.9730, while the GBP/TRY rate was 40.9870.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,357.27, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $81.60. -
