Turkish Stocks Down At Monday's Close

Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Monday down 2.24% to close at 1,087.03 points.After starting the week at 1,112.04 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 24.94 points from 1,111.96 points at Friday's close.On Monday, the BIST 100 hovered between 1,100.15 and 1,115.14 points -- 20 stocks on the index rose, 33 fell, and the remaining were flat compared to the previous close.Closing the day with a market value of some 817 billion Turkish liras ($108billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.20 billion).
