Turkish Stocks Up 0.19% At Midweek Open

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rises 2.10 points from previous close.

Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,113.34 points on Wednesday, increasing 0.19% or 2.10 points from the previous close.

At Tuesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.36% at 1,111.24 points, with a daily trading volume of 16.58 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.4940 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 7.4860 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.8790, up from 8.8700, while one British pound traded for 9.6830 Turkish liras, down from 9.7010.

One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $41.30 as of 10.00 a.m. local time . -
