TUSAŞ General Manager Demiroğlu said that successes in the defense industry have created admiration for Turkey around the world. Demiroğlu, stating that Spain purchased 30 aircraft for HÜRJET, used the following statements: "Before we even started our deliveries to the Air Force, Spain said, 'I liked it, I want to buy 30,' and bought them. We signed. We are working for deliveries in 2028. It is planning to buy 15 more."
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu said, “In the 2020s, especially with the achievements in the defense industry, an immense admiration for Türkiye has formed in the world.”
TUSAŞ GENERAL MANAGER: YOU CANNOT FIND SUCH A FACILITY IN THE WORLD
Speaking at the “From Blue Homeland to Sky Homeland National Technology Move” program organized by the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of National Education at the Public Education Center Conference Hall, Demiroğlu said he was happy to attend the program.
Demiroğlu, who said, “Our eyes are always on the heights,” stated that when it comes to the homeland, everything else is a detail.
Demiroğlu said, “When the homeland is at stake, all other differences, all other ideas remain details. The homeland is sacred, and serving it is sacred.”
Speaking of TUSAŞ, Demiroğlu used the following statement: “Inside one campus, KAAN is being built, HÜRJET and HÜRKUŞ are being built, helicopters are being built, UAVs are being built. There is a space facility, satellites are being built, many parts of aircraft are being built. Their tests and production are carried out in six different fields. You cannot find such a facility in the world. There are those that come close, but there is no facility where all of them are on one campus. This place is our source of pride, our pride, and it awaits you.”
“HÜRJET GOES FASTER THAN SOUND”
Describing HÜRKUŞ as the best trainer aircraft, Demiroğlu continued as follows:
“When we do it, we can make the good version. We don’t need to look at anyone else. Now we have started deliveries. This year, next year, the year after. We are sending to Azerbaijan. Then we will sell to other places. We will sell not only domestically but also abroad. We are a good nation. We do our work well. When we do it well, the results come out well. Saying that the new generation is very lucky, Demiroğlu made the following assessment: “We came from a time of ‘it cannot be done.’ They said, ‘You can’t do it, you won’t manage it, they won’t let you do it, don’t create inventions for us to deal with.’ Especially in the period after TEKNOFESTs, you young people are incredibly lucky. Leave aside being told ‘You can’t do it’; we are going through a period where it is said, ‘Look, we have done this much, you can do even better.’ Use these well, young people. You would waste your time by watching videos on social media. Spend most of your time learning technologies that will educate you, prepare you for the future, and develop yourselves.”
Demiroğlu, who stated that TUSAŞ has 16,500 employees, emphasized that they are a big family.
“EVERY SIDE OF US IS A RING OF FIRE”
Stating that wars are the reality of the world, Demiroğlu recorded the following:
“We are not trying to fight. We must strive not to fight. When you say ‘Don’t touch,’ they come and hit you on the head. They take the bread from your hands. They destroy your home. We see it. Then we must be prepared. We must speak the language they understand. For this, we must make both our soldiers and our country ready. This is what we are trying to do in the sky homeland. We do not want to use KAAN. They say, ‘Then why are you making it?’ We are making it so as not to use it. We will make it; KAAN is such a powerful aircraft that when it appears, no one will remain around. Then let anyone who intends to mess with me think. We are making it so they say, ‘If this KAAN appears, everything will turn to dust and smoke; let us not mess with these people.’ If necessary, we will use it. To our north, south, east, and west, every side of us is a ring of fire. We stand as an island of peace.”
“WITH THE ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY, THERE IS AN IMMENSE ADMIRATION FOR TÜRKİYE”
Stating that Türkiye is not a small country, Demiroğlu shared the following information: “With our ties from the past and our culture, Türkiye has regained its former reputation, is trying to regain it, and has made progress in this regard. I lived abroad for many years. No one would look us in the face. Toward the end of the 2000s, everyone somehow turned their face to Türkiye. In the 2020s, especially with the achievements in the defense industry, an immense admiration for Türkiye has formed in the world. They admire our products, what we do, and our achievements.”
