Fenerbahçe will face Poland's Gornik Zabrze at home tomorrow in the first match of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. Fenerbahçe Technical Director İsmail Kartal made statements before the match.
''OUR SQUAD IS SUFFICIENT FOR THE START''
Responding to the question "Is your squad sufficient for the long season?", İsmail Kartal said, "Our squad is sufficient for the start. Dorgeles Nene is injured, Marco Asensio and Archie Brown are just recovering. Vedat Muriqi got injured. Yiğit Efe's injury recurred. We are taking precautions. Our injured players will start working with the team in a few weeks."
''WE CAN MAKE 1-2 TRANSFERS''
Continuing his remarks, İsmail Kartal mentioned possible transfers, saying, "Our squad is sufficient. Depending on the situation, we can make 1-2 transfers. One of them subject to quota... There is a 10+4 rule. We are having trouble with this, but I think all clubs are having trouble."
''THOSE WHO WILL BE IN THE SQUAD''
Referring to the two new transfers not included in the European list, İsmail Kartal stated, "Mason Greenwood and Nathan Ake will be in the squad tomorrow. We will decide whether they will play on match morning. Greenwood is not fully ready, Ake can play. Marco Asensio is not ready and will not be in the starting 11."
