An incredible incident occurred at the G7 Leaders' Summit held in Évian, France. French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky became victims of open microphones while walking in the garden. The two leaders, speaking English, were caught sharing complaints about US President Donald Trump, with Macron saying, 'The meeting with Trump yesterday was very tough.' The moments were recorded second by second.

The G7 Leaders' Summit, bringing together the world's seven richest countries, is being held in Evian, France, from June 15-17. However, a 'microphone accident' involving French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy overshadowed the critical summit where global issues were discussed.

"MEETING WITH TRUMP WAS VERY TOUGH"

Walking side by side in the garden of the Hotel Royal where the summit took place, Macron and Zelenskyy did not notice their microphones were on and engaged in a deep conversation. The two, understood to be speaking in English, were caught discussing how to deal with US President Donald Trump, with their words heard live.

Host Macron, confiding in Zelenskyy, referring to his private meeting with Trump the day before, said, "The meeting with President Trump yesterday was very tough," which resonated widely in the international press.

MACRON'S ASSURANCE TO ZELENSKYY: OKAY, I'LL HANDLE IT

In the continuation of the dialogue captured by the open microphone recordings, Macron asked Zelenskyy if he had planned a bilateral meeting with Trump. Zelenskyy stated that he had made such a request during a phone call on Sunday, but the meeting had not yet been confirmed.

Upon this, Macron's response to his Ukrainian counterpart, "Okay, I'll handle that," indicating he would step in, drew attention.

TRUMP WAS 50 MINUTES LATE TO THE UKRAINE SESSION

European leaders have been conducting an intense diplomatic effort for some time to increase Washington's support for Kyiv and to back Ukraine's demands in a potential peace process. However, Trump, who has harshly criticized Zelenskyy since taking office for the second time and directly blamed him for the start of the Ukraine war, reflected the tension with his attitudes at the summit.

White House officials had announced before the summit that Trump had not planned a private meeting with Zelenskyy. The US President also attended the Ukraine session approximately 50 minutes late. It was observed that Trump, who entered the meeting room after Macron and Zelenskyy, did not participate in the scheduled private meeting with the two leaders beforehand and only had a brief standing interaction with Zelenskyy in the room.
