A training aircraft that took off from Bursa's Yunuseli Airport today around noon had its landing gear break while landing on the runway during its return. The instructor pilot and the trainee pilot on board escaped the accident without any injuries by sheer luck.

At Yunuseli Airport located in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, a twin-seat aircraft belonging to a private flight school made a hard landing on the runway.

The incident occurred around 15:30, during which the aircraft's propeller made contact with the ground, and the plane was able to come to a stop after being dragged.

PILOT AND PASSENGER INJURED

As a result of the accident, pilot Erkan Hoş and the passenger beside him were injured. Health and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Çekirge State Hospital after their initial interventions.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

It was learned that the health conditions of the pilot and passenger are good. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident, while the technical condition of the aircraft during landing is being examined.
