AK Party Provincial Chairman of Afyonkarahisar, Turgay Şahin, announced his resignation from the provincial chairmanship. Şahin said, "As a result of our consultations with the AK Party Headquarters, I have decided to leave the duty of Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chairman." Additionally, the Mayor of Gebeceler Municipality, affiliated with the central district of Afyonkarahisar, İsa Atay, also resigned from the AK Party.
The AK Party Provincial Chairman of Afyonkarahisar, Turgay Şahin, resigned from his post. Şahin stated that he made the decision to resign following consultations with the AK Party headquarters. Announcing his departure from the provincial chairmanship, Şahin said, "I have decided to leave the duty of Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chairmanship," and thanked those who supported him during his tenure.

Şahin included the following statements in his resignation announcement: "Following consultations with our AK Party headquarters, I decided to leave the duty of Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chairmanship.
Exactly two years ago around this time, I proudly carried the honor of being the political representative in the province of our esteemed President, who entrusted me with the provincial chairmanship duty.
For this, I extend my endless thanks to our esteemed President and Party Leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It was an honor to engage in politics behind him. From now on, his cause is my cause, his path is my path...
I also consider it a debt of gratitude to thank our Organization Chairman Ahmet Büyükgümüş, our Vice Chairman Ahmet Özdemir, and our Provincial Coordinator Selim Gültekin. Positions are temporary, but ideals are eternal.
During this process, I offer my gratitude to my Board members, all my provincial organization, and our deputies Av. İbrahim Yurdunuseven, Av. Ali Özkaya, and Dr. Hasan Arslan, with whom we struggled together and sacrificed day and night. The love for AK Party is always in my heart. I will continue to serve my cause and passion in different avenues."
TOWNSHIP MAYOR ALSO RESIGNED
The resignations in Afyonkarahisar were not limited to this. İsa Atay, the Mayor of Gebeceler Township in the central district of Afyonkarahisar, also resigned from the AK Party.
