Two people who came to a barber in Istanbul escaped without paying the fee of 600 lira, despite the business owner offering a discount of 100 lira. The two accomplices, who claimed to be waiting for their friends, fled when they were about to take a photo, but the cameras had recorded the moment.
Two people who came to the barber in Istanbul said that their friends would also come and shave and they would pay the fee collectively after shaving. The suspects later fled, and shop owner Hikmet Tekin said, "If they had said they wanted to shave but didn't have money, I would have shaved them without taking any money."
SHAVED BY GIVING DISCOUNT
The incident took place in a barber shop in Uğur Mumcu neighborhood on Friday, June 28th. Two people who came to the barber asked how much the shaving fee was. Hikmet Tekin, an employee who said that the fee was 350 liras, told the young people that it was 300 liras and shaved them.
THEY RAN AWAY UNDER THE PRETEXT OF "TAKING A PHOTOGRAPH"
After the 2-hour process was over, the young people who said that another friend would come and pay the bill collectively went outside and started chatting. After a while, taking advantage of the employee's distraction, the young people ran away from the scene under the pretext of taking a photograph.
"THEY STARTED RUNNING SUDDENLY"
Hikmet Tekin, who described the incident, said, "Around 16:30, two young people around the ages of 17-18 came. When they asked how much the fee was for hair, beard, waxing, and mask, it was normally 350 liras. I told them 600 liras for the two young people. They said okay, and I shaved them for about 2 hours. Then, they started waiting in front of the door, saying that our friend would also come and shave. They were smoking and taking each other's photos. I started looking suspiciously. They started moving downwards under the pretext of taking a photograph. Suddenly, they started running."
"IF THEY HAD SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE MONEY, I WOULD HAVE SHAVED THEM"
Barber Tekin said, "I also went out to the front of the door and at that moment, I thought of whistling. But I couldn't catch up with the kids. They ran down and stole our effort. There is also this, we are tradesmen, and we try to help people as much as we can. If someone had said to me, brother, we don't have money but we want to shave, I would have shaved them without taking any money. We did this before, we shaved a few times. But it bothers us that they stole our effort. They have money in their pockets, they have cell phones. Our trust in people has been shaken."
