U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth "TRUMP'S WORD HAS MEANING, THE WORLD UNDERSTANDS THIS" Warning Iran as well, Hegseth said, "They should have taken President Trump's calls for an agreement on the nuclear program seriously. Trump's word has meaning, the world understands this. Our job at the Department of Defense is to be ready with options. That is exactly what we are doing right now."
"WE HAVE REESTABLISHED DETERRENCE" In response to a question about the Trump administration's efforts to "reestablish deterrence," Hegseth said, "In this environment, we have already largely reestablished deterrence. The real question is which direction this will evolve in the coming days."
